OUR STORY
GREENER HOMES & CONSTRUCTION PRACTICES
At Arista, we believe that all families deserve a greener, more environmentally sustainable future. That’s why we are committed to creating exceptional homes that minimize their impact on the environment. This means minimizing waste, reducing our emissions and becoming more energy efficient while providing our customers with great communities to live and work in. We believe we have a corporate responsibility to create more sustainable homes and communities. Through industry leadership and innovation we will continue to produce homes for a sustainable and equitable future for coming generations.
EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS. PUSHING BOUNDARIES.
We honour our responsibilities by consistently outperforming building code requirements for energy, water savings and design. But this is just the beginning. We are always looking for the next generation of green innovations by testing and implementing the latest green technologies in our signature “Discovery Homes.”
SUSTAINABLE BUILDING IN ACTION
Here are just a few of the ways that Arista Homes is creating a more sustainable future in all our homes and communities.
Amazing Energy Saving Home Features:
– Energy efficient windows
– Programmable thermostats
– High performance insulation
– Water-efficient toilets, showerheads, faucets and rain-barrels
Solar-Ready Home Designs
Many Arista homes now come wired to take advantage of the latest solar panel technologies. If you choose to install solar panels in your Solar Ready Arista Home, you can save hydro expenses during peak hours, and generate a significant portion your home electricity.
Sustainable Community Design
With every new community we create, we’re always exploring new ways to make our communities even more sustainable. Here are some of the standard practices you can expect to discover in an Arista community:
– Sustainable storm water planning to preserve area waterways
– Airtight home construction
– Increased connectivity to green space, transit and community features.
– Construction waste reduction; diverting construction waste materials from the landfill into the recycling stream.
– Participation in certification programs such as: EnergyStar, EnerGuide and Natural Resources Canada.
